Who is Mario Meruna?
Born in Austria, he has been playing drums since he was three years old and decided early on to pursue a career as a drummer. At the age of 12, Mario started playing light music and hasn’t stopped to this day. At the age of 16 he gave his first private lessons and at the age of 19 he decided to study at the Eisenstadt Conservatory. He played in various big bands and worked a lot with singer/songwriters. The next phase of his life began in 2018 with the move to Mannheim, where Mario was allowed to study after passing the entrance exam at the Pop Academy and gained further experience in numerous bands. Mario never stopped teaching drums and continues to enjoy passing on the knowledge he has accumulated over the years.
Mario currently lives in Berlin and teaches at Drumtrainer Berlin, among others.
