Murat Coskun / frame drums

Murat Coşkun takes you all on a fascinating journey with drums and rhythms. The German-Turkish master drummer provides easy and understandable access to the seemingly complex world of frame drums. Drums and movement are brought together in a joint interaction.

Another focus is on rhythm: Turkish music has a range of rhythms that only exist in a few musical cultures. Syllable language, dance steps, simple melodies and body percussion exercises help to make rhythms in odd meters more physically noticeable and to get a “groove feeling” for 9 or 10 rhythms.

An exciting journey of rhythm that promises many new discoveries. Basic musical and rhythmic knowledge is a prerequisite

workshops: Thu 09/06 15 – 18h frame drums / Workshop single price: € 50

Oli Rubov: Drums & electronics

The Frankfurt drummer is “THE” German drummer when it comes to the most diverse electronic styles of DJ and club culture. His years of pioneering work and consistent search for his personal style were adorned with the vote for “E – Drummer of the Year 2020” by the readership of the Australian digitalDrummer magazine.

In addition to his many years of collaboration with bass legend Hellmut Hattler and the lounge pioneers of “DePhazz”, Oli Rubow attaches great importance to personal projects (including “Netzer”, “Luminos W” with Peter Wölpl, “The Temporary Electronic Salon”) and refreshing guest performances and representatives (e.g. Nils Wülker, the “Fantastic Four”, “Cro”, “Freundeskreis” or “Jazzanova”).

In the beautiful Kaiserstuhl, Oli will tell stories, reveal secrets, pack a style-independent inspiration case for the participants and explain how, with minimal equipment, creative ideas and the integration of the socket, contemporary grooves can be created on the drum carpet on the one hand, and on the other hand the personal profile can be sharpened.

Lots of sound, lots of groove – lots of attitude and something extra-musical!
