The largest German-speaking drummers’ association has had a new board since December – with percussionist Stephan Maass at the helm.
The renowned percussionist Maass comes from Herrsching am Ammersee. As 1st Chairman, he replaces Claus Heßler, who has been in office since 2015; Hessler resigned from office after three legislative periods in the board elections last December. »After more than 30 years of playing and teaching in the music business, I would like to actively share my experiences on the board of Percussion Creativ e. V. and thus actively help to shape the association«, says the new President Stephan Maass on taking office.
New leadership elected At Maass’ side, Norbert Gronde (Vice President), Timo Ickenroth (Marketing and Communications) and Chris Wagner (Treasurer) were elected at the online general meeting on December 12, 2021, and Cord Radke was re-elected as secretary. The long-standing managing director Michael Zöller will also continue to work for the association, while the previous vice-president Jörg Fabig has resigned from this position for work-related reasons after 15 years. The previous treasurer Stefan G. Schmid did the same.
The new advisors A new board of directors was also elected. Its members are: Patrick Metzger, Ellen Mayer, Andy Gillmann, Domenico Russo, Lukas Böhm, Philip Borgmann, Murat Coskun, Thomas Froschauer, Sven Hassler and Max Hofmann as a youth advisory board.
