Drummer Mike Mangini and his band Dream Theater are happy about their first Grammy. Their song “The Alien” won in the category “Best Metal Performance”.
The almost 10-minute song, part of the album “A View from the Top of the World”, released last year, won the coveted music award against Gojira’s “Amazonia” and Mastodon’s “Pushing The Tides”, among others.
The new release was recorded at the “Dream Theater HQ”, Dream Theater’s new place of work.
