German thrash metal veterans DESTRUCTION will not only will celebrate their 40th anniversary by dropping their mind-blowing grenade of a new album, “Diabolical” that was released April 8, 2022 via Napalm Records, they will also hit the road in North America on a 26-date headline tour this spring.
The tour starts April 28 in Brooklyn, New York and hit a slew of cities before ending with a DESTRUCTION-only performance at Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore, Maryland on May 29. Tickets are on sale now via individual venues.
DESTRUCTION features drummer Randy Black, he is a Canadian-born rock drummer and recording artist known best for his stints as the drummer for Bif Naked, Annihilator, and Primal Fear. Although Black’s actual acoustic drum configuration is not unique to the field of drumming, his playing style is notable for his ability to play ambidextrously with a symmetrical set of cymbals, specifically a dual set of remote hi-hats and ride cymbals to his right and to his left respectively.
In late 2015, Black officially joined American heavy metal band W.A.S.P. as their touring drummer after the departure of their previous drummer Mike Dupke. In 2017, Black left W.A.S.P. Later in 2018, he joined German thrash metalers Destruction.
Often Randy gives lessons in the town the tour stops in. Make sure to check out his Facebook to see if he is offering lessons in your town.
