Current issue John Fred Young has been the drummer of the band Black Stone Cherry, whose members all come from rural Kentucky and play real Southern rock with a modern heavy metal twist together. In a long phone conversation, John Fred told us about the production of the new album “The Human Condition”, drum equipment, collective songwriting and how to keep your optimism in the darned Corona year.
We also introduce you to Charlie Engen, who has been in the saddle of Five Finger Death Punch for two years. In an interview, he tells us where his musical journey began, how he joined the band and what it means for him to take over from Jeremy Spencer.
In snare talk we go into depth with Steve Smith and Dirk Brand. They present us some of their treasures and tell us what makes them so particularly valuable.
Of course, the New Year edition also includes our large Advent calendar. We are giving away 24 + 1 prizes with a total value of more than 4000 euros until Christmas!
