On October 5th,2020 the Nick Menza YouTube channel posted video of the late drummer warming up, playing one of his ols songs from Megadeth “Skin O’ My Teeth”
Nick born July 23rd, 1964 is best known for his time in Megadeth and subsequent releases with the band “Rust In Peace”, Countdown to Extinction”, “Youthanasia” and “Cryptic Writings”.
Born in Munich Germany, his father Don Menza was jazz musician with the US Army. Nick started playing the drums at the age of 2 and having exposure to such notable drummers as Jack DeJonette, Buddy Rich, Steve Gadd, Nick Ceroli, Jeff Porcaro, Louie Bellson to name a few.
Nick died on May 21st, 2016 while performing with his band OHM at the Baked potato jazz club in Studio City California. He died of congestive heart failure, he was 51.
