Vater Drumsticks has worked with 311 drummer Chad Sexton on an updated model to align with his newfound needs as a player. Although it’s the same width as his previous model, the updated version has grown a 0.25-inch to stretch to 16.25 inches. The update to Sexton’s Custom model adds a little extra length and is finished in white paint, which not only adds a cool visual look but has also been very helpful to Sexton’s grip while performing long-duration 311 shows. This new design also includes Chad’s signature and the 311 band logo printed on the stick.
With a refined technique and overall playing approach, Chad slightly tweaked the specs of his Custom Model to perfectly align with his newfound needs as a player.
