IRON MAIDEN drummer Nicko McBrain will host a special “meat and greet” event this Wednesday, January 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at his barbecue restaurant, Rock N Roll Ribs, located in Coral Springs, Florida. The event offers fans a chance to meet the legendary musician in a relaxed setting, though McBrain will be available for “photo ops” only — no signatures will be offered, according to his wife.
Rock N Roll Ribs, co-owned by McBrain and his close friend Mitch Tanne, is a unique blend of Southern barbecue and rock ‘n’ roll culture. The restaurant serves up classic barbecue fare like tender barbecued pork and chicken, but with a musical twist. Menu items include creatively named dishes like the “Final Frontier” dog, the “Moonchild Mahi” sandwich, and the “Aces High” fries — all nods to McBrain’s iconic band, IRON MAIDEN.
In a 2010 interview, McBrain shared his thoughts on the restaurant, explaining that it’s not just for MAIDEN fans. “We do get a lot of pilgrimages, people come in and look at all the stuff on the walls, but most people that come in always come out satisfied,” he said. “And it’s not major expensive. A rack of ribs is $20, and you get a pound and a quarter to a pound and a half of ribs.”
