Gretsch Drums is excited to announce the launch of three new FULL RANGE snare series in 2025, including this new range of Stave snares.
‘Power, dynamics, beauty and value’ are the best words to describe Gretsch’s 6.5×14” Stave Snare Drums. Each 6.5×14” maple and 6.5×14” walnut shell has their own feel, sound, and attractive price that distinguish them from other Stave drums.
The Maple Stave has a classic maple sound: it’s warm with bright overtones and great sustain.
The Walnut Stave has a classic walnut sound, also warm but darker in tone with lower undertones and a shorter sustain.
What separates them from ply snares is that the Stave shell is very dense with a thick re-ring, which enhances all the characteristics of the drum. They’re louder, sharper, beefier and more robust… and heavier.
Each snare is finished with a clear satin lacquer and features 3mm triple flange hoops, 30 degree bearing edges, Tilco snare wires, and our newly designed Full Range Throw-off & Butt Plate.
The new FULL RANGE STAVE snares will be available by late spring/early summer 2025 at retailers and online.
