After taking first place in the 7-10 year group of the recent “Cover Fest 3” music competition in Leskovac, Serbia, 9-year old Helena Miković was chosen to receive the “Laureate” award as the top musician of the entire festival.
Event participants included a wide range of vocalists and instrumentalists ages 7 to 18 who were judged by professors from music schools and academies throughout the country.
Helena’s award-winning performance featured a live drum cover of “Rasputin” by Boney M. “I am honored to receive this recognition… and happy that the drums beat all the other instruments,” she said.
