Drumming News
Several iconic drum kits, previously used by Rikki Rockett of POISON on tour, have been stolen from Donn’s Drum Vault, the world’s largest collection of rare and vintage drums. The theft was revealed by Donn Bennett, the vault’s owner, in a post on the Drummers of the Pacific Northwest Facebook group.
Bennett shared images of at least four unique drum kits, all of which are easily identifiable. He included a message urging anyone who sees the drums to contact him immediately. Among the stolen kits is a DW green-and-gray flamed drum set used by Rockett during POISON’s 2022 The Stadium Tour, as seen in fan-filmed footage.
Rockett, visibly shaken by the theft, shared Bennett’s post on his own Facebook page, expressing his shock with the words: “I’m floored.”
This theft is not only a significant loss to the drumming community but also a blow to the legacy of one of rock’s most iconic drummers. As a reminder of Rockett’s contributions to POISON’s legendary performances, these drums carry both sentimental and historical value.
In related news, Rockett’s memoir Ghost Notes is set for release on July 15, 2025, via Rare Bird Books. Written in collaboration with Leif Eriksson and Martin Svensson, the book promises to provide a deeper look into the life of the celebrated drummer.
