Drumming News
Jamie Morrison, drummer for Stereophonics and 86TVs, was rushed to the hospital earlier this week just minutes before a show in Nottingham. The health scare forced him to miss several dates on 86TVs’ UK tour, which is set to conclude on December 1.
In a statement on the band’s Instagram, 86TVs confirmed that Morrison had been advised by doctors not to perform this week. “We are all heartbroken about this,” the band wrote. “But obviously, health comes first. Please send your love and get well wishes to one of the best to ever do it.”
Morrison later took to Instagram to thank fans for their support, saying he was expected to make a full recovery. He shared details of the surreal experience, including a hospital “band meeting” where the group discussed their next album while he lay in bed. He also expressed deep gratitude for the NHS staff in Nottingham, who helped ease his fears during a frightening time.
“I’m going to make a full recovery,” he wrote. “Health comes first, but I’ll make it up to you all with positive energy, performance, and pure vibes when I return.”
Fans have flooded social media with messages of support, eagerly awaiting Morrison’s return to the stage.
