After 65 years in its iconic Vine Street location, the Professional Drum Shop faces an uncertain future. The shop’s longtime landlord has decided to sell the building and property, raising the possibility that the store may need to relocate unless a new possible owner of the building is willing to extend the lease to the drum shop.

Those who have visited the shop are familiar with its unique vibe—crusty, dusty, and musty yet rich with history. The space is filled to the rafters with drums and an impressive array of drum gear, creating an atmosphere that is both fun and welcoming.

While the exact listing details for the property are not yet known, it is estimated to be valued between $6-7 million. The sale includes a Mid-Century retail building currently leased to three long-standing tenants. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the property, the Professional Drum Shop continues to thrive in these strange times.

Established in 1959 by Bob Yeager and Chuck Molinari, the shop is family-owned and dedicated to assisting drummers with whatever they may need. It serves as a blend of retail store, online retailer, museum, and community hub—a true haven for drummers.

At this time, no final decision has been made regarding the future of this landmark drum shop. The community eagerly awaits updates as more information becomes available.
