With the buzz from their recently announced European tour still resonating, Grammy-winning progressive rock giants DREAM THEATER are excited to reveal the North American leg of their 40th-anniversary celebration. The tour, aptly titled “An Evening With Dream Theater,” marks their first North American tour since drummer Mike Portnoy rejoined the lineup. This tour features the classic lineup with Portnoy, alongside vocalist James LaBrie, bassist John Myung, guitarist John Petrucci, and keyboardist Jordan Rudess.
Spanning 30 cities across the United States and Canada, the tour will kick off on February 7, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and will run until March 22, 2025, concluding with a homecoming show in New York City. Fans can look forward to performances in major cities including Nashville, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Boston. Each concert promises a night of memorable performances featuring classic hits and fan favorites from DREAM THEATER’s extensive catalog.
DREAM THEATER shared their excitement about the upcoming tour, stating, “The excitement we have felt from the fans since the first tour was announced has been overwhelming! Now we get to bring the show to our home country and play a bunch of cities that we haven’t been together in for more than a decade. We can’t wait to continue this historic celebration of 40 years together with everyone in North America next year. Earlier this year, DREAM THEATER announced the European leg of their “40th Anniversary Tour 2024 – 2025,” which will see the band performing in 23 cities across Europe from October 20 to November 24, 2024. This European trek will also be presented as “An Evening With Dream Theater” and is the first tour since Portnoy’s return.
With the anticipation building, both the North American and European legs of this tour promise to be landmark events for fans old and new, celebrating four decades of one of progressive rock’s most influential bands.
