Neil Grover, the esteemed founder of Grover Pro Percussion, will be inducted into the Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame this November. Grover’s profound influence spans over four decades as a percussionist, educator, and innovator, profoundly impacting the percussion community.

Grover’s journey began in Queens, New York, where a family steeped in music nurtured his early interest in percussion. His studies with notable instructors like Ronnie Benedict, Joseph Castka, and Vic Firth shaped his path. Grover honed his craft at Florida State University and the New England Conservatory of Music, where he graduated with high honors in 1977.

Professionally, Grover’s career flourished with the Boston Symphony, Boston Pops, and Boston Ballet, where he distinguished himself in over 2,000 concerts. His performances in notable venues and his contributions to movie soundtracks, including *Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom*, showcase his versatile talents.

Beyond performing, Grover’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Grover Pro Percussion. What began with a single triangle evolved into a comprehensive range of percussion accessories, driven by his commitment to quality and innovation. Grover Pro Percussion has become a staple in the industry, known for its exceptional craftsmanship and pioneering designs.
