Raven Chapman, the rising boxing star and UNIBET ambassador, is carving out her path to a world title while managing her ADHD through boxing and drumming. At 30, Chapman boasts an unbeaten record of 8-0 and is set to make waves once again on Derek Chisora’s undercard, where she’ll face Joe Joyce.

Chapman’s journey began in martial arts, blending kung fu and kickboxing with weekend football. However, it was during her teenage years that she turned to boxing to help manage her ADHD. The sport quickly became a constant in her life, providing a focus that other activities lacked.

“I was always energetic and trying different things,” Chapman told SunSport. “I’d lose interest in things I loved for a while, but boxing was the one thing I always went back to. It’s what makes me feel good and sane.”

Since turning professional in 2021, Chapman has made significant strides, including winning the WBC International Featherweight belt. However, an injury last year sidelined her and posed challenges for managing her ADHD. During this period, her boyfriend surprised her with an electric drum kit, rekindling her long-time interest in drumming.

“I’ve always wanted to play the drums but never had the chance,” Chapman said. “The drum kit was a perfect outlet while I couldn’t train. I found it helped me focus and channel my energy in a productive way.”

With her injury behind her, Chapman is now focused on her next challenge: a fight against Colombian contender Yohana Sarabia, who holds a perfect 10-0 record and six knockouts. Looking ahead, Chapman has her sights set on the WBC title, currently held by Skye Nicolson.

“I’m hoping for a world title fight soon,” Chapman noted. “There’s been talk about it, and that’s what I’m working towards. I’m optimistic that my team can make it happen.”

Chapman’s unique combination of boxing and drumming underscores her resilience and determination, setting the stage for a promising future in the ring.
