Hoshino U.S.A. Inc., brand holder of Ibanez Guitars and TAMA drums, has announced the promotion of Bill Ludwig to Sales Strategist – Strategic Accounts / TAMA Drums & B&O Manager. Bill has been with the company since 2009, starting in Quality Control and eventually transferring to Customer Service / Inside Sales in 2012. He worked in this capacity until 2021, when he was promoted to Band & Orchestra Percussion / Assistant Drum Merchandiser. In these previous positions, Bill acquired extensive knowledge of Hoshino’s sales strategies and was at the center of the merchandising operations for the company’s band & orchestra percussion line. Bill also has experience in music education, working as a part-time instructor for his former high school’s marching band and indoor percussion programs.
“We’re excited Bill is moving into this important role. In his 15 years here, he has developed a well-rounded and multi-faced understanding of our operations from multiple perspectives. We know this experience will serve him well in his new position,” said Shogo Hayashi, President and CEO of Hoshino U.S.A. Inc.
In this new role, Bill will coordinate with Hoshino’s strategic accounts for TAMA Drums, as well as for Hoshino’s band and orchestra percussion division, TAMA | BERGERAULT.
When asked, Bill said this about the promotion, “It’s a major step, but I feel prepared and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the company’s broader strategic direction. I’m already thinking about ideas for one-on-one conversations with our dealers. I’m eager to get their feedback on current trends and determine how we can leverage that to fuel TAMA’s continued growth.”
