The Prog Rock master, best known for his work with Winger, Dixie Dregs, Steve Morse Band, Jelly Jam, Rudess Morgenstein Project, and Jazz is Dead, will be on hand at the Morgenstein Tool exhibit booth to meet and greet fans, sign autographs, offer photo opportunities, and to demonstrate the “Wing Thing”—an innovative wingnut adjustment technology pioneered by Rod and the company he co-founded in 2023. About Rod:

Rod is an acclaimed American drummer, musician, and entrepreneur with over 40 years in music, publishing, education, and drum manufacturing. He co-created the Vic Firth/Zildjian Isolation Headphones and invented the Wing Thing, released by his company Morgenstein Tool in 2023.

As a professor of percussion at Berklee College of Music, Rod is in his 27th year of teaching, currently focusing on the online music program and his Rock Drums course.

Named Best Progressive Rock Drummer by Modern Drummer in 1999, Rod is a five-time winner in this category. He is a founding member of the pioneering group Dixie Dregs, which received six Grammy nominations for Best Rock Instrumental Performance, and an original member of Winger, a band with gold and platinum albums still active today.

Rod played on the “Burning for Buddy” tribute album alongside drumming legends like Neil Peart and Steve Gadd. His influential publications include “Drum Set Warm-Ups” and “The Drumset Musician,” which Modern Drummer recognized in 2013 as one of the “25 Timeless Drum Books.”
