Latest Drumming News
By every measure, 2023 was another groundbreaking year for female drumming. And, as unprecedented as it was, the rapid growth of the community was also incredibly inspiring. So, going into 2024, Hit Like A Girl isn’t planning on slowing down in its efforts to grow the market. Among the highlights of the 2024 plan are:
Hit Like A Girl Contest recently rebranded and became Hit Like A Girl Global.
HLAG Ambassadors currently represent female drumming in nearly 60 countries with 18 Instagram pages in more than a dozen different languages carrying their message around the world.
Although there will not be an international Hit Like A Girl contest in 2024, the organization will be supporting local and regional events.
Under the “Hit Like A Girl+” banner, new initiatives will bring increased attention to players in Concert, Marching and World Percussion as well as Gospel/R&B and Metal drumming.
Alliances within the drum industry as well as those with corporate partners such as Poundfit, School Of Rock and Melodics will be strengthened and expanded.
The team of Jr. Ambassadors, along with programs like “Drumming Connects Us” and “Drummers To Watch”, will be activated to influence teens and adolescents and facilitate the drumming community’s continued growth.
