In the heart of the musical universe, where legends collide and sonic landscapes are painted in bold strokes, Dave Grohl took center stage at Warren Haynes’ 20th Annual Christmas Jam in 2018, delivering an unforgettable 36-minute live rendition of his instrumental masterpiece, ‘Play.’
Captured at the prestigious Christmas Jam, Grohl, the maestro behind the kit, brought to life the intricate layers of ‘Play,’ a composition that originally emerged from the hallowed grounds of Foo Fighter’s Studio 606. A celebration of the devotion and challenges inherent in the pursuit of musical mastery, ‘Play’ is a testament to Grohl’s insatiable hunger for musical exploration.
Recognizing the demands of translating a solo studio endeavor into a live spectacle, Grohl enlisted a dream team of collaborators. Greg Kurstin, the virtuoso producer known for his work with Foo Fighters, Liam Gallagher, and Adele, lent his talents on keys.
