On December 21st Mike released this video play through of him recording this new song. As you may know, Mike often releases DVDs and digital formats of him in the studio, filmed as he is recording the tracks you hear on the record. This offers fantastic insight on the recording process, multiple takes, overdubs, in multiple audio formats including raw audio from the cameras, drum only mix, and a play along to the final track. Hopefully this video is a teaser, or a precursor, to the eventual release of a Winery Dogs III DVD of Mike recording this record – “with commentary this time Mike”.
In the below posted interview Richie Kotzen talks about how the last chorus of the song was improvised and in a separate post Mike talks about how his vocals were impacted when recording that portion of the song; “When it was time to do my Vox, Richie never sent me the lyrics…so I had to decipher them by ear. I thought he was singing “Maybe I’m Justin” at the end of the Choruses, so you can see me singing that and wondering WTF it means!“

The CD will be released on February 3rd of 2023 an supported with a tour kicking off on February 15th through April 30th and picking up again in early June.
